Examples of Newsletters
and Newsletter Formats
This two-pages flyer newsletter has bright colors, fun pictures and clearly tells its story to clients.
The two-column format is easy to read, provides plenty of space for photos, with tight text. Easy to scan and keep for information on the company.
This is a beautiful program announcement for employees of an airline done in the style of a newsletter.
Note the wide main column on the front page. There is a reason why columns don't take up the whole page: They are hard to read. That is your eyes can't skip from the end of the line to the beginning of the next.
The width of this column is nearly too wide. But the designer compensates for this. Observe the wide leading (or space) between the lines. This makes it easier to find the next line.
Also note the fun title: Arrivals
Example of a business newsletter
with extensive photos and graphics
This newsletter, called Good News Business, is produced by PagesMag.com for our customers. It comes to subscribers as you see here, completely filled with articles and images. Our subscribers then use it as a starting point for their own newsletter (changing whatever they wish and adding their own articles and art) or they use it mainly as-is. It is a good example of an attractive design that is nonetheless accessible to the non-designer. The block layout inside makes plugging in new articles easy, while allowing room for individual creativity.
